Las Vegas NV – Dynamic Commissioning Solutions, Inc. (DCSi), is pleased to welcome two new hires, Information Systems Engineer, Andy Gaither, and Electrical Commissioning Manager, Carl Martin. Both men bring to DCSi a wealth of experience in the engineering field. “At DSCI we pride ourselves in both the depth and breadth of experience that we offer our clients,” says DCSi founder and owner, Richard Farkas, “and Gaither and Martin bring just that to the table. Each brings decades of experience in engineering, information systems and/or project management. Commissioning is about foresight and it is through our employees’ experience in the field that we are able to catch mistakes and correct them on paper, saving our clients money and making a better building in the process.”
Andy Gaither comes to DCSi with a varied background in informations systems and systems analysis. With a degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Nevada, Reno, Gaither has held positions in the Navy Reserves as well as the private sector. He is a Qualified Navy Nuclear Engineer, has been an Information Systems Security Manager for the United States Navy and is a Commanding Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve where he provides formal technical and professional training for 40 new reservists annually. He knows a dozen programming languages and is a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator, and Alerton Certified Engineer in BACtalk Systems. Gaither most recently worked doing commissioning as a project manager and systems integrator overseeing the design, program, and commission control sequences for the building automation of central plants, boilers, chillers, air handlers, AC units, fan coils, pumps and lighting equipment. He worked on everything from troubleshooting diagnosis and repair of systems to creating user interface graphics and training end users. At DCSi he will be managing the Las Vegas Water District Projects - the Visitor's Center and the Desert Living Center.
Carl Martin comes to DCSi as our new Electrical Commissioning Manager. Martin has nearly 30 years of experience in commissioning and construction management of various commercial and industrial projects. He has done construction management for large-scale (250k to 4B) projects from pre-bid to final turnover and acceptance as well as been the Commissioning Manager for a micro-electronic manufacturing plant. Most recently he was the manager of all the electrical and control contractors at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. He did Electrical Management and was the QA lead on a fast-track offshore oil and gas platform that involved providing constructability and design review of the electrical, HVAC control, instrument process control, and fire protection systems for the process modules, electrical gear and living quarters. He has also worked with low voltage control systems. Martin holds electrical licenses in four states (AK, UT, WY, TX).
DCSi founder Richard Farkas notes, “Gaither and Martin have the one-the-ground experience we look for at DCSi. We need people who know what is going on at a building site as well as on paper.”
DCSi has been commissioning buildings in the Las Vegas area since 1999. Currently, nearly 90% of DCSi’s contracts are performed for repeat clients and direct referrals. “At DCSi we’re committed to helping build better buildings to improve occupant comfort, health, well-being and productivity. Our goal is to continually exceed the expectations of our clients. We will continue to partner in designing and engineering buildings of excellence for Las Vegas,” says Farkas.

DCSi Is Pursuing Publication of Industry Related Articles & Offering Teaching Seminars.
Las Vegas, NV - "As industry continues to grow in Las Vegas, the need for support systems also increases, " said Richard Farkas, President of DCSi. Therefore, it is necessary for professionals to share their knowledge with those who are willing to listen and also share. "I make myself available as much as physically possible in a sincere, concerted effort to better my community and the industry in which I work. I feel it is my professional obligation. I have recently begun to share in more formal forums such as lectures, seminars and publications. I find this to be extremely rewarding."

International Who's Who
Las Vegas, NV - "Coming up through the ranks [out from the "trenches"], and working my way from construction to engineering was no easy task. It was a long and arduous process. However, it is this experience that affords me the ability to foresee certain problems and mitigate them before they result in delays and excessive costs", says Richard Farkas.
"I am honored to be approached by the IWW, as it is satisfying to receive recognition for this long journey. It is very rewarding and humbling. But, the journey is only a process, not the end."
